She has a proven track record of successfully managing accounts payable and receivable, financial statements, and complex reporting processes. Nina is known for her ability to build strong teams, enhance productivity, and effectively oversee multiple assignments and projects.
Nina currently serves as the Accounts Payable Director at Samaritan Daytop Village, Inc., where she manages a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing an average of $30 million in A/P aging reports weekly, preparing cash and disbursements reports, and ensuring smooth invoice and purchase order processing. Her work also involves providing key financial data for annual budgets, performing regular audits, and supervising a dedicated team of six individuals.
Before her current role, Nina gained valuable experience as Accounting Supervisor at Jamaica National Overseas, Inc., a company that offers a range of services related to international transactions and remittances, where she streamlined operations, enhanced efficiency, and improved compliance processes. She also served as a Staff Accountant at L.E.M. Accounting Services, handling A/P functions, payroll processing, and monthly bank reconciliations. Throughout her career, Nina is known for her adaptability, self-motivation, and results-driven approach to leadership and financial operations. Key skills include problem solving, staff management, and proficiency in various financial software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Financial Edge (Blackbaud), and AS 400 systems.
Ms. Nina Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Operations Management in 2014 from Baruch College in New York City. She has been recognized with several awards, including the President’s Award from Samaritan Daytop Village in 2014, and the Woman Making History Award in 2021.
