
Ms. Nadine A. Assemien is Director and Secretary of the International Development and Health Initiative (IDHI), Inc.
Nadine is a results-driven professional with 27 years of experience in Project Management, Evaluation, and Administration for Not-for-profit sectors, Government, and the United Nations. A native of Côte d’Ivoire, Nadine is currently living in Raeford, NC. She is a natural leader who delivers a dedicated commitment to communities in need, organizational efficiency, projects management, capacity building, research, and advocacy.
Nadine is an Expert in International Development, having successfully managed a wide range of development projects as a National Program Officer or Consultant with International Non-Profit Organizations and United Nations agencies, including ILO, UNDP, and UNDESA. She served in Côte d’Ivoire and ten (10) other West and Central African countries, including Senegal, Guinea, Ghana,Togo, Benin, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Cameroon, and Liberia, and currently in the United States of America.
Her work in Africa included leading development projects funded by USAID and USDOL, focusing on women’s empowerment, gender equality, child labor, human trafficking, education, child protection, and capacity building of Government, private, NGOs, and civil society. She is the Founder and CEO. of Hope for Children in Africa, a testament to her unwavering commitment to underprivileged children’s education, health, and economic development.
Ms. Nadine Assemien received a Bachelor’s, a Master’s, and a Post-Graduate Degree in Sociology from the University of Cocody in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, U.S.A.
She is currently a PhD Student in International Development at the University of Southern Mississippi.
